Should I shave my legs for Halloween if I am going as a girl?

I’m up in the air about this. Athletes shave all the time, but I’ve never done it. Will it make a difference for my costume (or fun?)

I have a business type skirt with black stockings. I picked black for the express purpose of not needing to shave, but they are more see through than I expected.

Pros and Cons?

PS, not worried if Halloween fun will make me gay or change the fact I am happily engaged, so you can keep those comments to yourselves, if you have them.
Going for less over the top but more "Get Smart" funny. Was inspired by the agent(s) that were undercover as girls but sounded like regular guys. This was in the TV show and a trailer for the movie (though that scene didn’t make the film).

When people ask what I am, I’m going to say "Would you believe…. Maxwell Smart" or if someone makes a silly comment about my costume "I guess I Missed it by _that_ much"
